Bangladesh vs SL 2nd Test Day 1: Bangladesh reach 56/4, trail Sri Lanka by 166 runs

After bowling out Sri Lanka for 222, Bangladesh had a terrible start with the bat. Suranga Lakmal dismissed Tamim Iqbal in the second ball for 4 runs, soon after which Mominul Haque was run out by Lakmal in the second over.

Mushfiqur Rahim failed to provide some stability to the side and departed for 1 with Lakmal cleaning up his stumps.

Liton Das and Imrul Kayes stitched a 33-run partnership before Dilruwan Perera dismissed him for 19.

Das and Mehedi Hasan took Bangladesh over 56/4 at stumps on Day 1, trailing Sri Lanka by 166 runs. 

Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 222 with both the spinners Abdur Razzak and Taijul Islam taking 4 wickets each.

Kusal Mendis and Roshen Silva fought a hard battle and scored fifties each. But they failed to take the total over 250 that had plenty of action written on it.
