Sri Lanka's human rights report will be examined by the UN Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review Working Group for the third time today.
The review will take place today from 2:30 pm - 6:00 p.m. (Geneva Time) in Room 20 at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
Sri Lanka's delegation to the review will be led by the Deputy Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs Dr. Harsha de Silva.
It will comprise officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Attorney-General's Department, the President's Office, and the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the UN in Geneva.
Sri Lanka's National Report covers areas that were part of the recommendations accepted by Sri Lanka following the 2nd review in 2012.
The National Report was drafted, following wide consultations with all stakeholders including public consultations in Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Jaffna, and Kalmunai, online consultations and consultations by post.
